Operations
Alliance Coal, LLC, our operating holding company, is a diversified producer and marketer of steam coal to major United States utilities and industrial users. It is the fourth-largest coal producer in the eastern United States. Operations include mining complexes in fiv states - Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and West Virginia - and a rail-to-barge loading terminal located in Indiana.
The headquarters of ARLP are in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A centrally-located operations support office is in Lexington, Kentucky.
